Gabrielle Union Defends Rihanna, "Man Down" Video; Reflects on Attempt to Shoot Rapist

You read the headline right. Gabrielle Union tried to shoot a man who raped her. Understandably, Rihanna's "Man Down" video hit close to home for her.
We've debated whether or not Rihanna is a bad role model based on the violent storyline of the video. For Union, the work was simply true to life.
Asked by a fan about the controversial video, the actress opened up about her own abusive past, and the stunning parallels with "Man Down."

The topic came up last week, when Union was soliciting ideas from her followers on how to better combat violence against women and kids.
When a fan asked what she thought of the Rihanna video, she said she hadn't seen it, but would comment when she had. Later, Union wrote:
"Saw 'Man Down' by @rihanna. Every victim/survivor of rape is unique, including how they THINK they'd like justice 2 be handed out."
"During my rape I tried 2 shoot my rapist, bt I missed. Over the yrs I realized tht killin my rapist would've added insult 2 injury."
"The DESIRE 2 kill someone whose abused/raped u is understandable, bt unless its self defense n the moment 2 save ur life."

Kim Kardashian filed for divorce from Kris Humpries after just 72 days of marriage. Perhaps her fairy tale wedding was not what it was meant to be after all.
Or maybe it was, given who we're talking about. She made millions off her big day and E! can start looking for her next future ex-husband in the near future.
They're far from the only stars to tie the knot only to bail almost immediately, however. Where do Kim and Kris rank among the worst celebrity marriages?

In the last decade, stars like Jennifer Lopez, Eddie Murphy and Pamela Anderson (twice!) have seen unions dissolve within the same year of their nuptials.
Heck, Britney Spears tied the knot to Jason Alexander in Vegas and had it annulled 55 hours later. Time enough for him to get it in, and that's about it.
One of the shortest in recent times came when Chris Kattan wed Sunshine Tutt on June 28, 2008 ... and divorced her August 10. Terrible marriage, awesome name.
Even more recently, Tara Reid and Zack Kehayov tied the knot in August of 2011, but now she's saying it was bogus and never even legal. Weaksauce.

Joy has turned to despair for the stars of TLC's The Little Couple.
Soon after the couple, who successfully transferred an embryo to their surrogate, learned that encouraging news, the surrogate miscarried their unborn child.
Dr. Jennifer Arnold and Bill Klein, who both have a bone-growth disorder that causes dwarfism, have documented their long road to parenthood on the show.
Arnold and Klein, who are married, say they decided to use a surrogate to have a baby, because of the challenges a pregnancy could pose to her health.

On The Little Couple season finale, they learned their surrogate was expecting.
"After we got pregnant, the craziness ensued with us wondering what to do with the baby's room, making sure our surrogate was getting her vitamins," Klein says.
But since filming their happy visit to the doctor, the pair's surrogate lost the pregnancy. Klein had to contact his wife, a neonatologist at Texas Children's Hospital.
"I didn't want her to be the last person to find out. Ugly or happy, it needs to be told. It was a very tough day, and Jen took it harder than she originally expected."
"I cried my eyes out," Arnold admits, especially given her work.
"I deal with families who lose babies and I will cry with them, but I thought I would be stronger. Nothing can completely prepare for all that when it is about you."
When the couple were able to get together at the end of the day, they mourned, crying and comforting one another and later talking to their family and friends.
The next day they decided they would not give up permanently in their quest, continuing trying to start a family, with both surrogacy and adoption as paths.
"Bill was a rock, and he held me through everything," Arnold says.
"By the next morning, I realized that I needed to try again. We were so close and so pregnant with the ultrasound looking good, and so it was horrible for it to end."
"But I couldn't have said I was done. A lot of family asked, 'Do you want to go through this again?' And my answer is, yes. I would be miserable if I didn't try again."
We wish them nothing but the best.

Penn State, Football Program Rocked by Sex Scandal

The Penn State athletic department is facing serious charges of covering up sexual abuse, following an indictment of former defensive coordinator Jerry Sandusky on 40 counts, including inappropriate touching and statutory rape.

Sandusky, who retired in 1999, is accused of abusing eight boys over a 15-year period; while athletic director Timothy Curley and Vice President of Business and Finance Gary Schultz resigned from the university last night and have been charged with perjury and failure to report Sandusky's behavior to police.

The latter two face seven years in prison if convicted. Sandusky faces life behind bars.

Iconic football coach Joe Paterno - who holds the record for most wins in the history of Division I - says an assistant coach told him of an incident between Sandusky and a young male in 2002. He passed that information along to Curley.

"If true, the nature and amount of charges made are very shocking to me and all Penn Staters," Paterno said in a statement. "While I did what I was supposed to with the one charge brought to my attention, like anyone else involved I can’t help but be deeply saddened these matters are alleged to have occurred.

"I understand that people are upset and angry, but let's be fair and let the legal process unfold. In the meantime I would ask all Penn Staters to continue to trust in what that name represents, continue to pursue their lives every day with high ideals and not let these events shake their beliefs nor who they are."

Kris Jenner seriously needs to STFU.
In a new interview with Extra, the managerial matriarch is asked why daughter Kim Kardashian went to visit ex-husband Kris Humphries in Minnesota this week, a trip that extended this disgusting story for another few days and led to talk of reconciliation.
Just take a look at the complete and utter nonsense this businesswoman spewed:

"Kim is a hopeless romantic. So she wants the fairy tale. She wanted to get married and have babies and raise a family and the white picket fence and all that comes with that. She's a really good person with a huge heart.

"Whatever decisions Kim is making right now, she's a very smart girl and she's gonna do the right thing. All I can do is wrap my arms around her gobs of money and make sure she's okay."

We kan't even handle this woman klaiming that the same woman who made a sex tape... got married on TV to someone after just a few months of dating... and followed that up with a divorce 72 days later, is merely a "hopeless romantic." We need to just turn this over to our readers and ask:

What do you think is going on with Kim's trip to see her ex?

-Demi Moore Described as Skinny, But Happy

Demi Moore is looking REAL skinny these days, but she's also looking happier than you might think, according to people who saw her at a recent shindig.
Maybe reports of her marital struggles have been exaggerated. Maybe Mariah Yeater has replaced Sara Leal as celebrity gold-digging skank du jour.
Whatever the reason, Moore was all smiles at Friday's A-list-packed Lanvin (Hearts) LA fashion show and dinner at Casa Carondelet in Los Angeles.

Supposedly reeeling after husband Ashton Kutcher's alleged affair with 22-year-old Sara Leal, the actress, 48, "looked skinny but happy" at the intimate event.
The Margin Call actress was "very chatty" with fellow celebs at the party, adds the witness: "Demi came across the runway to kiss and say hi to Katie Holmes."
Later in the evening, Zoe Saldana made a similar trip across the runway to kiss and greet Moore, who also chatted with Lanvin's designer, Alber Elbaz.
"The whole vibe was super friendly and relaxed," adds the witness. Moore wore "nerdy glasses, but [she] looked amazing. She stayed for the whole dinner."
Close pals say Moore - who is also accused of cheating - has had good days and bad days in her marriage lately, but all has been relatively quiet of late.
